A medium-sized epiphytic herb, with a stout creeping rhizome 3 mm. in diameter. Pseudobulbs 2-leaved, ellipsoid or narrowly ovoid, 3–4 cm. long, 1 cm. diameter, borne ± 7–8 cm. apart on rhizome. Leaves linear or linear-elliptic, rounded and minutely emarginate at apex, 8–10 cm. long, 1.3–1.4 cm. broad. Inflorescence erect, 20–25 cm. long, densely many-flowered; peduncle terete, bearing several acute sheaths at intervals; rhachis fleshy, broader and less than one-quarter length of peduncle; bracts ovate, acute, cucullate, 3 mm. long. Flowers almost hidden by bracts and rhachis- margins, very small. Dorsal sepal ovate, obtuse, 2.5 mm. long, 1.5 mm. broad; lateral sepals keeled, ovate, subacute, 2.5 mm. long, 1 mm. broad. Petals obovate, acute, 1 mm. long. Lip fleshy, 1.5 mm. long, 1 mm. broad, with 2 longitudinal ridges on upper side. Column very short, 0.25 mm. long; stelidia short, subacute, incurved.
