General Description

Stems elongated. Leaves up to 70 x 3. 5 mm, minutely denticulate. Spathes sessile. Sepals 3-4 mm. Petals 6-10 mm, white.

Diagnostic Description

Stems elongated, leafy; leaves sessile, linear. Leaves spirally arranged, not recurved. Flowers hermaphrodite spathes sessile in the leaf-axils.

Distribution

Naturalized in rice-fields in N. Italy and S.W.Portugal.
